Privacy Policy

How LAGO collects, uses, shares, and protects information.

Effective October 9, 2026

LAGO needs some information to run a marketplace and help operators deliver safe, bookable experiences. This policy explains what we collect and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us, such as your name, email, phone number, account details, booking details, special requests, reviews, support messages, and preferences.

For some experiences, an operator may need age, licence, certification, identification, emergency-contact, or waiver information. We only request what is needed for the stated booking or safety purpose.

We also receive payment status and transaction details from our payment providers. We do not keep your full card number.

When you use LAGO, we may collect device, browser, approximate location, log, and cookie information needed to keep the site secure, understand usage, and improve the experience. We may receive business-verification information from operators who apply to sell on LAGO.

2. How we use information

We use information to create accounts, show relevant experiences, take and manage bookings, send confirmations and changes, connect guests with operators, process payments, answer support questions, prevent fraud, and keep the marketplace safe.

We may use information to understand what is working, fix errors, measure performance, and improve LAGO. We send marketing messages only where we have a valid permission or another lawful basis, and every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe.

We may also use information to meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, and handle a dispute or emergency.

3. When we share information

When you book, we share the information the operator needs to deliver the experience and apply its safety requirements. The operator may contact you about the booking, meeting instructions, changes, and day-of operations.

We share information with service providers that help us run LAGO, such as payment processing, identity or age checks when required, hosting, email delivery, analytics, fraud prevention, customer support, and security providers. They are expected to use information for the services they provide to us.

We may share information if required by law, during a business sale or reorganization, or when needed to protect guests, operators, LAGO, or the public. We do not sell personal information for money.

4. Payments and security

Payments are handled by payment providers that use their own security and privacy practices. LAGO receives confirmation of the transaction, not your full payment-card credentials.

We use reasonable safeguards for the information we hold. No online service can promise perfect security. If a privacy incident creates a real risk of harm, we will take the steps required by applicable law, including notifying affected people or regulators when required.

5. Cookies and similar tools

LAGO uses necessary cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect the site, prevent fraud, and make bookings work. Necessary cookies are always enabled because the platform cannot function safely without them.

Optional analytics and marketing cookies are off by default until you choose them in LAGO's cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. If optional tools are enabled, you can withdraw that choice there.

Your browser may let you block or delete cookies. Some parts of LAGO may not work properly if necessary cookies are disabled.

6. Retention and cross-border processing

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, to provide records for a booking, to meet accounting or legal requirements, or to resolve a dispute. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details where practical.

LAGO and its service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or another country where they operate. Information may therefore be subject to the laws of that country.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You can update account details, unsubscribe from marketing messages, and ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information where the law gives you that right. Some information must be kept to complete a booking, prevent fraud, or meet legal requirements.

To make a privacy request or ask a question, contact LAGO through our Support & Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Children

LAGO is not intended for children to create accounts or book independently. An adult may book an experience for a child and is responsible for providing any required consent and information.

9. Updates and contact

We may update this policy as LAGO changes. We will post the current version and update the date above. If a change is important, we will provide an additional notice where appropriate.
